Discover DR Congo
The second largest country in Africa by area and the largest French-speaking country in the world by population, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a continent in itself: equatorial rainforest, the Congo River, the Great Lakes and volcanoes. Kinshasa, its capital, has one of the liveliest music scenes in Africa.
Travel to the east of the country, including North Kivu, is strictly advised against. Check the travel advice of your own government and of France Diplomatie (the French foreign ministry's travel advice) before making any plans.
