Tabaski (Eid al-Adha)

Religious festival · Nationwide

Tabaski, the Feast of the Sacrifice, is celebrated by the Muslims of the Central African Republic. It is a public holiday (May 27 in 2026). Like all Islamic holidays, the date can shift by a day depending on the moon sighting. The French foreign ministry advises against all travel to the country, except Bangui and Bimbo, where it advises against travel unless essential. Check your own government's travel advice as well.
