Founded in Goma in 2014, the Amani Festival (“peace” in Swahili) brings music and dance together around a message of peace for the Great Lakes region. After no edition in 2025, its 11th edition took place in Lubumbashi from April 10 to 12, 2026, since Goma has been occupied since January 2025. France Diplomatie strongly advises against all travel to North Kivu and against travel to Haut-Katanga unless essential.
