Eid al-Fitr, also called Korité, closes the month of Ramadan. In Chad it brings two public holidays (March 20 and 21 in 2026). Like all Islamic holidays, the date can shift by a day depending on the moon sighting. The French foreign ministry classes all of Chad as orange or red and advises avoiding gatherings.
