Tabaski, the Feast of the Sacrifice, is celebrated with family around the sacrificial sheep. It is a public holiday (May 27 in 2026). Like all Islamic holidays, the date can shift by a day depending on the moon sighting. The French foreign ministry classes all of Chad as orange or red and advises avoiding gatherings.
