At the end of the rainy season, the Wodaabe Fulani gather for the Gerewol. Young men, made up and adorned, sing and dance in a line, and the young women judge their beauty. The place and date vary with the nomads' movements. The French foreign ministry classes all of Chad as orange or red and advises avoiding gatherings. Check your own government's travel advice as well.
